Youngstown is full of beautiful buildings, interesting historical facts and other tidbits that no other city can really claim.

This blog isn't about current Youngstown, it's not about pride greedy downtown organizations or politics. This is to get in touch with Youngstown history, to learn something new about the city everyday and to better understand where we came from to where we are now.

Each day we will explore a different side of the city, government building, theatre, school, sports field, house and so on. You will be able to see the picture of the building, person, area, its purpose and what it is today: if anything.

Youngstown's history IS beautiful. One thing that no one can ever take away or replace is the beautiful ethnic areas, unique neighborhoods and so on.
